Art Nouveau Period French Chestnut Coffee Table is a splendidly preserved example of one of Belgium and France's most significant contributions to the style world during a period of prosperity at the end of the Belle Epoque.  The Art Nouveau style is a favorite of many discriminating connoisseurs, featuring a uniqueness of line and decoration.  In this example, the generously sized table is lavished with full relief carvings of grape clusters with leaves on each corner, under which tapered and faceted legs extend down to flared feet.  The apron design is tailored with parallel half-rounds and a shield form centered on and protruding from each long side.  The table is also finished the same all around, making it ideal for placement anywhere a coffee or cocktail table is needed, especially one which exudes timeless style!
