Mid-Century Country French Wrought Iron and Oak Coffee Table

Mid-Century Country French Wrought Iron and Oak Coffee Table clearly displays the skills of a truly talented blacksmith!  Turning the red-hot iron into perfectly spaced spiral twists takes years of experience, as does the expert welding of an hour-glass shaped stretcher structure that features the same spiral twists plus fleurs de lys at the junctures, from which scrolled spiral rods turn up to create another fleur de lys center piece.  Even the fleurs de lys themselves feature a spire-shaped form that has been spiraled creating a timeless design that recalls the medieval era.  On top we find thick planks of oak joined together with butterfly splines visible on the ends.  This is one table we can literally guarantee for a century of daily use!
