18th Century Country French Armoire is a timeless example of rural artisans emulating the styles set forth by the king's court, yet performed with simple tools and techniques that have been handed down for generation after generation.  Utilizing indigenous old-growth oak, the craftsmen painstakingly created the dentil molding across the entire crown, which overlooks a tailored architectural design fitted with two large doors that open to reveal simply cavernous storage within.  The doors are designed with three panels, with a diamond form carved into the topmost, a rosette centered on the middle panels, and a plaque-style treatment of the lowest panels.  Hinges are hand-made, as is the key guard for a truly charming touch.  A full width hanging rod with shelf above allows one to use it just like a closet.
