18th Century Country French Louis XIII Armoire in Stripped Oak is a handsome example of fine cabinetmaking from a bygone era.  Utilizing dense, old-growth white oak, the artisans crafted the voluminous casework with mitered corners, and a bold crown molding as well as a subtle base molding that follow the contours of the corners for a splendid angular effect.  Finely carved molding surrounds the intricately contoured panels on the doors, with dividers at the center that include stylized heart motifs.  Brass key guards add a nice visual touch, and the doors open wide on exterior-mounted steel barrel hinges to reveal a partitioned interior with five surfaces on the left, and a shelf and hanging rod on the right, creating an extra closet for any room.  The natural beauty and patina of the wood has been revealed by our professional stripping process performed by our in-house experts.
