19th Century Country French Armoire combines classical architecture with hand-carved embellishments inspired by the Louis XIV style to create a singular masterpiece!  Rendered from dense, old-growth indigenous oak, it boasts a multi-tiered crown molding appearing over a bonnet graced with fine trim molding encircling a centered carved medallion with foliate, floral and cross-hatch motifs.  Complementary motifs appear on the doors below, arranged in longer upper panels with shorter lower panels underneath.  The upper panels also showcase cornucopia motifs while the lower panels emphasize stylized shell and scrollwork.  Doors open wide to reveal cavernous storage within.  Tailored molding on the corner pilasters provides a framework, with the doors hung by brass barrel hinges mating with the brass key guard designed with a fleur de lys motif.  Three teardrop shaped feet under the base molding provide support.
