19th Century Swedish Rustic Armoire ~ Bonnetiere ~ Cabinet is a product of talented rural artisans who were able to create sturdy home furnishings that would last for centuries!  The versatile design makes it adaptable for storage of a wide variety of belongings, and for any room.  It could be used to store dishes and pots in the kitchen, linens in the dining room, and clothing in the bedroom.  A boldly molded crown above and skid-style legs below provide the framework for the heavy planks used to create the casework between.  Each side appears to be one plank of wood, with a generous framing around the single door for amazing strength of design.  The door is a sturdy affair as well, fitted with an elaborate polygonal raised form at the center, and hung by two large forged iron strap hinges.  A simple knob with swivel catch keeps the door closed.
