Early 19th Century Swedish Pine Armoire ~ Wardrobe represents a simplicity of style that is deceptively tailored, until one realized the artisanry and craftsmanship required to produce 37 hand-chamfered panels and assemble them into a sturdy casework with full mortise & tenon joinery, designed to last for centuries!  Using indigenous old-growth pine and fir, the craftsmen used only a modicum of molding detail at the crown and base, with the panels themselves providing the bulk of the visual effect.  Over the decades it has been painted more than once, and now thanks to our painstaking proprietary process, the old wood has been revealed once more in all its glory and patina.  The forged iron hinges allow the doors to open wide to reveal four surfaces including three shelves that feature an artfully scrolled face, and combined with the depth and design, yield a wonderfully abundant storage area.  Note the hand-chamfered panels even on the back side!
