18th Century Country French Buffet ~ Enfilade is a charming ode to the traditional craftsmanship that has been handed down from generation to generation in the provinces of France!  Created from indigenous old-growth oak, it features a classic three panel design, where the outboard panels are doors that swing wide open thanks to exterior brass barrel hinges, and the center panel is fixed for decorative and discreet storage.  Three drawers appear above the three panels for balance, and each drawer is carved with fine molded detail depicting intertwined hearts, leading us to believe this may have originally been designed as a wedding gift.  Fine hand-crafted furnishings were very popular as gifts to newlyweds during the 1700s and into the 1800s in France.  This example also features a sturdy, solid oak plank top to give you plenty of serving and display surface, even though the entire affair is barely a foot and a half deep, making it very forgiving to your traffic patterns in the room.  The elegant undulating apron below is centered with a floral rosette, and flanked by scrolled legs.  Brass key guards and pull knobs complete the look.
