18th Century Country French Buffet from Lower Brittany is a classic example of the charming furniture produced in the region completely by hand during this period. Utilizing techniques handed down from generation to generation, it features pegged mortise & tenon joinery throughout, with solid planks of old growth indigenous French oak making for an heirloom piece designed to literally last for centuries! The plank top overlooks the substantial casework fitted with two spacious drawers and two yawning cabinet doors opening up to capacious storage. Solid brass hinges, bale pulls and key guards add a nice visual accent but the carved detail celebrating nature's bounty for which the region has been amply blessed, steals the show! Scrolled door panels and apron complete the look.
