18th Century Country French Buffet ~ Trois Porte Enfilade in Stripped Oak is a lasting testament to the talented artisans of the rural regions of France!  Utilizing what today would be considered primitive tools, they cut, formed and shaped the dense, old-growth indigenous oak into a well-proportioned, beautifully embellished case piece that was designed to serve a family faithfully for many generations.  Assembled with meticulously hand-fabricated pegged mortise & tenon joinery, the case includes a solid plank top with beveled edge overlooking paneled sides, and a main facade divided into three sections, each with a drawer and cabinet door with the woods bookmatched to provide subtle yet intriguing visual appeal.  A tailored molding frames the drawers, with a more elaborate design on the cabinet doors including foliate carvings as embellishments.  Solid brass key guards and drawer pulls combine with the brass barrel hinges to complete the adornment, with an undulating apron and scrolled legs with escargot feet providing support.
Painstakingly stripped using our proprietary method by our expert in-house professionals, leaving the natural beauty and patina of the old growth wood.
