18th Century Country French Louis XIII Buffet in Stripped Oak is a masterpiece of craftsmanship where the artisans used centuries-old techniques and tools almost as old to create works of the cabinetmaker's art designed to last for generation after generation! Utilizing dense, old-growth indigenous oak, the craftsmen fashioned the top from solid planks for a generous serving and display surface. Underneath are three spacious drawers, handsomely fitted with solid brass bale pulls and key guards and framed by contoured molding detail. In between the drawers are sunburst motifs above the stiles below, which in turn are carved with wildflowers. The cabinet doors are of a stately Old World design, with intricate quatrefoils at each center, all supported by double barrel brass hinges and fitted with brass key guards. An intricately contoured and carved apron with scrolled legs and feet complete the look. Doors and drawers open wide to reveal cavernous storage, making it as useful as it is gorgeous to behold! Painstakingly stripped using our proprietary process that retains the patina and sheer natural beauty of the old wood, all performed by our expert in-house staff.
