18th Century Rustic Country French Buffet ~ Credenza

18th Century Rustic Country French Buffet ~ Credenza is a remarkable blend of form and function!  Rendered from dense, old-growth seasoned oak, it was literally designed to last for centuries and has at least another century or two of life.  Thick, solid planks of oak form the top surface, with sturdy cornerposts and frameworks below housing the considerable storage within, easily accessed with three doors on hand-made, outboard-mounted steel hinges.  A steel bale pull on the sole drawer and fancy key guards add nice embellishment, while the panels of the doors display a sedate arched design.  Chamfered panels on the sides and a full-width double base molding complete the look.  Note the hand-hewn planks on the back side with pegged mortise & tenon joinery...
