19th Century Country French Buffet ~ Enfilade is a classic expression of rural cabinetmaking, where form and function were equally important.  Hand-crafted from solid planks of old-growth seasoned indigenous oak, it features a plank top with subtly beveled edge and a slight contour to the front, with a short plate rail in the back for display.  The sides are straightforward with single chamfered panels, and the apron below is very subtly scrolled and fitted with six scrolled legs tipped with escargot feet.  In front, the three apron sections are lavished with a stylized shell, floral and foliate motif that is truly captivating, carved directly into the apron itself.  Above, three doors with tailored arches bear only fancy brass key guards as embellishments, yet open to reveal a cavernous interior perfect for storage.  Above, the embellishment is resumed with three drawer facades carved with stylized shell and foliate motifs in patterns facing the circular center of the drawer which is fitted with an elaborate brass key guard.  An exceptional choice, produced by exceptional craftsmen entirely by skilled hands!
