19th Century Country French Louis XVI Buffet is just the right size for a cozy spot, offering lots of display surface and a surprising amount of storage in a relatively diminutive piece.  Hand-crafted from oak and maple woods, it has been given a rich walnut finish that only adds to the rustic provincial allure.  A contoured and beveled top presides over a pair of drawers with each adorned with wildflower carvings and centered with steel ring pulls.  The drawers are separated by a prominent rosette, which is positioned over the center stile carved with motifs matching the drawers but on a vertical orientation.  The stile is affixed to the left door so that when opened, one is provided an unhindered access to the interior.  Rounded corners carved with the same theme lead the eye down to the scrolled legs with escargot feet, which embrace the boldly scrolled apron centered with a large shell and flanked with more wildflowers.  In between the doors are fancifully framed, hung with steel barrel hinges, fitted with elaborate steel key guards, and carved in the centers with baskets of wildflowers, all combining to celebrate the natural beauty of the French countryside!
