19th Century Country French Walnut Buffet a Glissant is a uniquely French design, with a recessed top cabinet whose side doors slide outwards for access, hence the name.  The two center upper doors, each carved from a single piece of luxurious French walnut, are exquisitely arched and carved with Grecian vases with floral and foliate arrangements, surrounded by hand-carved molding detail.  The sliding doors feature baskets of fruit and foliates atop olive branches with ribbon.  And we've not even begun to describe the amazing main buffet below!  The buffet also features arched cabinet doors with bold molding detail, but the carving between and below the doors is amazingly artistic and eye-catching.  All doors and drawers are fitted with their original finely forged steel key guards and bale pulls with heavy full size barrel hinges for an amazing visual effect, but the real show stopper is the incredible natural beauty of the sumptuous French walnut in all its glory!
