Antique Country French Walnut Buffet ~ Trois Porte Enfilade has become an unusual find in the last few years, and this example is in excellent condition!  The beveled top follows the contours of the center bow front on the casework below, and features a herringbone veneer pattern that is most attractive.  Three drawers and three cabinets are unusual for a piece barely four feet in width, making it visually distinctive.  The drawers and doors are beautifully and gracefully molded with stylized shells appearing at the tops of the doors, complemented by the finely contoured apron centered with a shell and foliate design, all hand-carved by talented wood sculptors.  Escargot feet appear in front, and the entire piece is accentuated by fancy pierced steel pull guards behind large bale pulls, full length steel barrel hinges, and fancy key guards.  The shallow design also makes it perfect for cozy rooms and placement in high traffic areas.
