Antique Grand Country French Buffet ~ Sideboard in Natural Oak

Antique Grand Country French Buffet ~ Sideboard in Natural Oak is a charming example of the provincial style, celebrating the beauty of nature with bas relief carvings of wildflowers and foliage all across the top, on each drawer facade and on each vertical pilaster.  An undulating apron continues in form on the sides, which consist of two framed panels each creating visual appeal from any angle.  The capacious serving and display surface on top was made from solid planks of old-growth oak, as was the entire affair.  Two large cabinet doors are positioned on each side, with two smaller cabinet doors at the center, above which appear the two drawers.  Brass hinges, knobs and key guards were used to add a distinctive touch, with subtle French scrollwork also apparent in the frameworks of the doors.  The sheer natural beauty of the wood has been revealed by our proprietary stripping process leaving a natural, lighter coloration ideal for today's more casual decors.
