Antique Liegoise Louis XIV Buffet in Stripped Oak is a marvelous example of fine craftsmanship from the storied region of Liege, where artisans have been practicing their art for over a millennium!  This example, created from local white oak, features an elaborate step-front design accentuated by complex, contoured cornerposts on each end as well as framing the stepped-out center drawer section which also sports a bowed front for added three dimensional visual appeal.  Scrolled arches appear on the cabinet doors, and are mirrored by the scrolled apron and legs below, which are tipped with cloven hoof feet.  Carved embellishments include stylized shell, floral and foliate motifs for a timeless effect, with solid cast brass key guards adding a finishing touch.
