Early 19th Century Country French Louis XVI Buffet ~ Cabinet is a splendid example of a master cabinet builder using primitive tools yet time-honored craftsmanship to create a piece designed for many generations!  Utilizing indigenous oak, a tall casework was created and interestingly, reinforced by hand-forged carriage bolts that go through the entire piece.  Two drawers and two cabinets are exquisitely hand-carved with stylized shell, floral, and foliates with scrolled frameworks.  The keyguards remain in the piece, fashioned from bovine bone.  Doors open wide for easy access to the cavernous interior.  Ideal as a platform for a big flat panel TV!
