Monumental in scale and presence, this Grand Liégeois Louis XIV Style Stripped Oak Buffet ~ Credenza reflects the bold architectural character and ornamentation associated with the Louis XIV aesthetic, interpreted through the craftsmanship of the Belgian workshops.  Hand-crafted from solid oak and later stripped to a soft, neutral patina, the piece reveals the natural beauty of the wood while allowing the intricacy of the carving to take center stage.
The façade is richly articulated with deeply carved door panels adorned in symmetrical foliate and shell motifs, framed within tailored moldings that lend structure and rhythm across its impressive width.  The central bank of drawers is subtly stepped forward, creating a commanding focal point while enhancing both visual depth and functionality. Each drawer is fitted with original hardware, complementing the understated finish and reinforcing its authenticity.
The scalloped apron is delicately carved and flows seamlessly into shaped legs, grounding the piece with a sense of refinement while maintaining its strong, masculine presence.  Generous cabinet compartments on either side provide substantial storage, making it as practical as it is visually compelling.
