18th Century Country French Louis XV Commode in Stripped Oak is a superb example of rural craftsmanship emulating the styles dictated by the court.  Here we see elegant contours beginning at the scrolled legs which bracket the undulating form of the apron.  Each full width drawer is embellished with floral and foliate motifs in a molded frame, all integral to the drawer facades themselves.  The charming effect of the hand-cast pulls and key guards only adds to the mystique.  Drawers open to reveal cavernous storage, a necessity in homes before closets became the norm.  Painstakingly stripped by our expert in-house staff using our proprietary methods to produce a soft, warm earth tone of naturally beautiful old-growth oak.
