18th Century Country French Louis XVI Commode in Stripped Oak is a late period piece that retains the neoclassical design and architecture that was revived during the last years of the era.  Our proprietary stripping process retains the natural beauty and patina of the old-growth wood, and the newly installed brass hardware has a genuine old look while providing carefree enjoyment of your new family heirloom!  Three cavernous drawers provide abundant storage, and the plank top serves well as a nice surface for display or daily use.  The drawer facades feature a raised rectilinear form contrasting the central circular feature which surrounds the key guards.  Raised and recessed panels also appear on each side, with a subtly shaped apron for subtle visual appeal.  Note the rough-hewn solid vertical planks of the back side, a firm verification of the handiwork involved in its production.
