18th Century French Louis XVI Period Commode in Stripped Oak was lovingly hand-crafted during the waning years of the Louis XVI period, created out of dense, old-growth indigenous oak to last for centuries!  The rectilinear classical architecture immediately shows its presence, with a modicum of embellishment to create a sense of French refinement.  Four huge full width drawers provide commodious accommodation, with each drawer fitted with brass knobs and a diamond-shaped brass key guard.  The brass appointments are mounted on raised diamonds and surrounded by elegant foliate carvings, with flower baskets on each side.  Fluted cornerposts and legs complete the look.  Painstakingly stripped using our proprietary process that retains the patina and sheer natural beauty of the old wood, all performed by our expert in-house staff.
