18th Century French Louis XVI Period Commode in Stripped Oak recalls a time when closets were non-existent, and commodes and armoires were used for clothes storage.  This impressive example features a tailored architecture that includes roundels in triplicate across each drawer facade, into which are placed bronze ring pulls with cast bronze guards or at the centers, wonderfully intricate key guards.  Our expert in-house refurbishment staff has stripped the piece using our proprietary method, revealing the sheer natural beauty of the old-growth wood, presenting a lighter visual effect that is at once attractive and charming.  An excellent choice for any room that needs a generous surface and even more generous storage!
