18th Century French Oak Commode was considered an essential part of many rooms of a proper home during the 1700s, not just used for clothing, but for linens and other items for daily use.  This example, rendered from hand-selected old-growth oak, features no knots and tight grain, and pegged mortise & tenon joinery that will ensure its longevity into the 22nd century!  Raised & recessed panels on each side are fully framed with bold molding, providing visual appeal from all angles, and transition to the front via massive rounded corner posts carved with bold molded detail.  The three massive drawers however, steal the show with amazingly detailed molding detail that is impressive considering it was completely sculpted by hand.  The apron below features complementary lines, completing the timeless look.  Brass key guards and pulls in two styles provide access to the voluminous storage space within.
