19th Century Country French Charles X Painted Chiffoniere ~ Chest of Drawers is the ideal choice to provide eye-catching visual appeal as well as convenient organized storage!  Six vertically oriented full-width drawers yield excellent capacity, yet the footprint on the room is quite small.  Each drawer is accessed with white porcelain knobs, and is carved with fanciful shell, floral and folaite motifs which are enhanced by the patinaed painted finish.  The Charles X styling includes corbels with acanthus plumes on top leading the eye down to the fully fluted cornerposts.  The painted finish has mellowed over the decades, and shows a little signs of distressing which only endears it more to your decor.  The back is the original tongue & groove hand-chamfered planks.  What a find!
