19th Century Country French Louis XVI Petite Commode ~ Nightstand

19th Century Country French Louis XVI Petite Commode ~ Nightstand is a truly unusual find!  Hand-crafted from solid old-growth oak in the dimensions normally associated with a tall nightstand, it features four drawers and is finished on all four sides including fluting, raised panels and rosettes!  Combine the four sided finish with the four faceted, tapered and reeded legs, and this piece is just as at home in the center of the room as it is by the bedside!  The top features a subtle rim created by the edge treatment which is dash and dot bordering.  That same bordering surrounds each of the four drawers, and also appears on the apron below the drawers.  Fluting and reeding has also been applied to all four cornerposts, complementing the reeding and single flute of the leg design.  The four drawers present lots of organizational and storage possibilities, making this a great companion for any purpose in any room!
