Antique Country French Louis XIV Petite Commode ~ Chest of Drawers exhibits a charming rendition of the grandeur of the Sun King's flair, yet rendered with a slightly rustic interpretation that makes this piece versatile for a huge variety of decors!  It's the perfect size for any seating group, even with placement in the middle of the room thanks to being finished, even carved, on all four sides.  It can also be an excellent bedside companion, of course, with three convenient drawers for lots of storage opportunities.  Crafted from walnut, it features a double beveled top with four rounded, carved corners that transition into four gracefully scrolled cabriole legs carved with acanthus plumes and cloven hoof feet.  Between the legs are subtly scrolled and carved apron sections on all four sides, with the back and sides adorned with a wildflower bouquet in relief.  The front drawer facade is especially appealing, with each drawer framed and carved with symmetrical foliate sprays centered by a finely turned knob.
