Antique Country French Louis XIV Stripped Oak Commode ~ Chest of Drawers reflects a casual elegance that is decidedly French yet universal in appeal!  Hand-crafted and carved from solid oak, it features a beveled plank top that follows the very subtle bowfront contours of the casework below.  Three yawning full width drawers open to reveal cavernous storage, and boast facades that are carved from single planks to depict elegant shell and foliate motifs accented by fancy cast brass pulls.  Even the rounded corners in front are carved with complementary motifs, ending in scrolled and carved legs with cloven hoof feet flanking the subtly undulating apron.  Painstakingly stripped by our expert in-house staff to reveal the natural beauty of the wood and bring visual accent to the carved detail.
