Antique Country French Louis XV Oak Commode ~ Chest of Drawers is a definitive example of the style, rendered from solid oak to literally last for centuries!  The contoured top features rather unusual protruding corners that overlook the rounded corner posts that have been embellished with floral and foliate carvings.  The three drawer facades and apron steal the show, however, with elegant and fanciful moldings with stylized shell and foliate themes.  A brace of fancy cast brass drawer pulls frame the elaborately cast key guards on each drawer front as well.  The undulating apron wraps around the sides, enveloping the scrolled and carved legs with escargot feet.
