Antique Country French Petite Commode ~ Chest of Drawers is a charming piece perfect for a diminutive space, as a seating group accompaniment, or even a bedside companion!  Sometimes called a lingerie chest, it features classic French lines with carved detail including a stylized shell crest at the center of all three drawer facades, flanked by floral and foliate sprays, all rendered in relief.  The contoured apron sports complementary carvings, and is flanked by fancifully scrolled legs tipped with escargot feet.  The shallow design still includes raised & recessed side panels.  Hand-crafted from solid oak to last for generations, it packs a lot of style into a small package creating a splendid accent piece that adds the convenience of storage!
