Early 19th Century Country French Commode was hand-crafted from dense, old-growth indigenous oak, and features a stripped finish that retains the wonderful two-century-old patina of the wood!  Tailored architecture creates a classic look, with chamfered panels on each side complementing the rectilinear molding of the drawer facades which are accented by the cast iron ring pulls and key guards.  Drawers open to reveal cavernous storage, and the surface makes a great place to stage or display.  Note the hand-chamfered panels on the back and the pegged mortise & tenon joinery!
