19th Century French Gothic Credenza is a remarkable work of the cabinet maker's art, featuring tailored architecture melded with the timeless intricacies of the style that dates back to the 12th century in France!  Solid planks of oak were used throughout, including even the back, which was hand-chamfered.  Finely fashioned steel hinge plates accompany steel pin hinges, with finely detailed steel key guards to complement the look.  The sides, top and back are unadorned, but the front doors are just the opposite.  At first glance it would seem four panels were made, but upon closer examination one realizes that each panel is unique in the design, from top to bottom, including circular spire, arches and naturalistic geometric forms to delight the visual senses!  Doors open wide without obstruction to reveal a shelf for two storage surfaces within.  Low enough to place behind a desk, along a wall, in an entryway, at the foot of the bed or even behind a sofa, its size, beauty and functionality will make it versatile for any room in the home or office!
