19th Century French Louis XV Low Buffet ~ Credenza in Stripped Oak was crafted by gifted cabinetmakers, and captures the graceful movement and decorative charm of Louis XV style. Its serpentine outline, carved floral garlands, and scrolling corner details give the piece the romantic character of the Rococo tradition, while the lower scale makes it especially appealing in a wide range of interiors.
The paneled doors are enriched by beautifully carved detail, and the original brass hardware adds a lovely accent against the softened oak. Painstakingly stripped by our in-house staff, the finish was carefully brought back to preserve the patina and character of the original wood, allowing the natural beauty of the grain and carving to come forward with warmth and depth.
Solid, elegant, and full of French character, it is a wonderful choice where a lower buffet is desired, whether beneath a television, under artwork, or anywhere a room calls for an antique with both presence and versatility. An excellent choice as a cabinet for a bathroom vanity, as well!
