Antique Rustic French Renaissance Credenza ~ Sofa Table will also make a great choice as a hall console!  Equally at home behind the desk, or behind a sofa, it was hand-crafted from solid planks and beams of old-growth oak, and features a solid plank top with a framework below that has a slight splay to the structure which adds stability as well as visual intrigue.  In addition, the legs have barley twist carving for added appeal.  The casework is an interesting design, with two outboard cabinets carved with linenfold and subtle accents, which open to reveal nice-sized storage with a shelf on each side.  The center doors open wide to reveal three concealed drawers.  The center doors are also carved with classic Renaissance themes of the Lord and Lady of the manoir surrounded by intricate frameworks adorned with falcons' heads and acanthus fronds.  All the doors are mounted with forged steel hinges and fitted with key guards with a double fleur de lys motif.  Tailored, naturalistic bordering completes the look.
