19th Century French Copper Baking Mold was crafted to create visually appealing gourmet foods, and could be used for backing as well as a gelatin mold. The interior was plated with tin which was considered the best metal for food preparation, as it lends no flavor to the finished foodstuff. Fitted with a convenient ring to hang on the wall when not in use, such molds were usually purchased in a wide variety of shapes, sizes and styles to keep dinners interesting and visually appetizing!
