19th Century French Limoges Hand-Painted Tureen ~ Centerpiece is a stunning example of the exquisite porcelains that were produced during the period by master ceramicists.  The bold bombe form of the tureen is enhanced by the painted detailing, primarily in gold, but also featuring floral bouquets on the main faces, both sides as well as underneath the handles on each end, and even on the sides of the lid above!  The handles are completely gilded and form a continuous, naturalistic design down to the tips of the feet, with acanthus motifs inserted into the lines.  Such works are considered so decorative that they can be used as centerpieces by themselves, or for serving the chef's masterpiece in style!
