19th Century Napoleon III Period Mahogany Wall Bed is a superbly well-preserved example of French style and ingenuity from the Second Empire!  Hand-crafted from exotic imported mahogany, it features a symmetrical design, with mirror image side boards connected with a substantial front rail fitted with carved corbels on top, and finely molded into the design creating an extraordinarily stylish look that is also amazingly sturdy.  Turned legs below mirror the turned finials on top of the corner posts, with the finials at the back halved to make it easy to place the bed against the wall.  Even the wheels built into the bottom of the legs are unidirectional, allowing one person to easily roll the bed away from the wall for cleaning, then roll it back into place.  Such beds were very desirable as a sofa during the day ~ a great place to lounge during leisure time, but at night become a bed suitable for one making it as versatile as it is gorgeous to behold.  The tailored yet classic lines remain as popular and in vogue today as they were when originally conceived centuries ago.
Set includes a custom-fit foundation, mattress and topper by RSP in their Posture Perfect Pillow Cloud line.
ALSO available are the exquisite linens shown in the photos, which include the bedspread and seven matching pillows as shown, available separately for $1,980.  Contact the Dallas showroom for details or questions.
