19th Century Black Forest Gueridon ~ Lamp Table

19th Century Black Forest Gueridon ~ Lamp Table is a splendid example of the artisanry from that storied region!  For centuries craftsmen in the region have created charming furnishings inspired by nature, with carvings depicting live trees as they would appear in the forest.  This example, however, is somewhat unusual for a variety of reasons, but most notably the basketweave pattern on the top with accents of fully laden grapevines indicating an affinity with the vintner's trade.  Exceptionally carved pedestal is supported by a trio of finely scrolled and carved legs.  One of the aprons above cleverly conceals a convenient drawer!
