19th Century French Gothic End Table is a relatively tailored and sedate rendition of the style, which dates back to the 12th century in France!  Double beveled plank top rests on an apron carved on all sides with geometric molded detail, including the plinth blocks on the corners, with wheat bordering and drapery style edge for added visual effect.  A single full width drawer with steel bale pull provides convenient storage.  The legs are an amazing example of hand-crafted workmanship, with spiral fluting alternating with wheat motif leading down to the "H" stretcher that also is carved with wheat bordering.  Plinth blocks below are faced on all visible sides with square acanthus rosettes, with turned ball feet finishing the work.  Hand-crafted from solid chestnut to last for centuries!
