19th Century French Louis XIV Marble Top End Table ~ Display Case is the perfect choice to provide a carefree yet elegant table top with a display case for cherished family heirlooms or your prized collection ~ all in one!  Crafted from select old-growth quarter-sawn oak, it features a tailored architecture with four graceful cabriole legs carved with cloven hoof feet, stylized shell and fishscale on a crest over scroll work and foliates.  An additional folaite flourish appears at the top of the cornerpost at the same level as the upper glazed tier, where each side has a horizontally oriented glass insert framed by fine molding, with the long sides centered with a foliate crest carving.  This lets maximum ambient light into the display area below, floored with velvet and surrounded by glass panes that comprise all four sides, including one side that is the cabinet door access fitted with a cast brass knob.  On top, a carefully contoured and beveled piece of marble completes the look, as well as provides a very forgiving surface!
