19th Century French Louis XIV Walnut Jewelry Stand is a delightful ode to a bygone era, when the affluent had separate furniture just to house jewelry!  Lovingly hand-crafted from sumptuous French walnut, it features a single solid plank top contoured and beveled to match the casework below, which consists of four carved aprons with shell and foliate motifs.  The top lifts up like a trunk lid to reveal a beveled mirror for trying on the jewelry, plus a segmented compartment to keep your valuables organized.  Support is provided by four elegant cabriole legs, each carved with complementary motifs and escargot feet, and the entire affair is finished around all four sides so placement anywhere in the room is a possibility.
