19th Century French Louis XV Fruitwood End Table is a classic example of the genre, with violin-shaped top displaying the fine grain of the wood, with a beveled edge that leads the eye to the exquisitely scrolled apron that has been hand-carved with shell, scrollwork and foliate & floral sprays.  Support is provided by four elegantly scrolled cabriole legs carved with stylized shells on the shoulders and escargots on the feet.  Close to the floor the legs have been joined with intricately scrolled stretchers that meet in the middle via a roundel carved with a raised acanthus plume rosette.  Perfect for any occasion!
