19th Century French Louis XV Walnut Center Table ~ End Table is a magnificent example of the Rococo style, rendered in sumptuous French walnut which has been stripped, revealing the natural beauty and patina of Europe's most prized indigenous furniture wood!  Combining a squared veneer pattern on top with a round shape accented on four quadrants with protruding curves that appear over the legs, its design is perfect for anything from the middle of the foyer to a corner to the center of a larger room.  Each of the four apron sections were carved from a single thick plank of walnut, and feature a bowed form following the circular contour of the top, and featuring a scrolled apron centered with a pierce-carved medallion styled in the manner of a shell encircled with acanthus foliates.  The aprons each blend into the elegantly scrolled cabriole legs which are lavished with complementary shell and acanthus plume motifs on the shoulders, leading the eye down to the graceful escargot feet.  Towards the floor, four double scroll stretchers connect the legs together, and are themselves centered with a stunning floral and scrollwork rosette creating a feast for the eyes!  The proprietary stripped finish performed by our expert in-house staff has left the natural patina and beauty intact, making this table incredibly versatile across numerous style choices from casual to formal!
