19th Century French Louis XVI Giltwood Pedestal with Carrara Marble Top is the perfect display vehicle to show off your statuary, vase or objet d'art!  Neoclassical styling pervades the design, which it topped by white Carrara marble with subtle light gray veining.  Underneath, three tiers of molded detail include beading and laurel wreath.  Support is provided by a central shaft adorned with acanthus plumes arranged in an urn form above a tapered column with spiral flutes, in combination with three scrolled outboard uprights that are also adorned with acanthus leaf motif in bold relief.  At the two tiered base we see a triangular form connecting all four uprights, adorned with more acanthus motifs with the three outboard uprights terminating in lion's paw feet, all resting on a secondary triangular platform adorned with an acanthus finial at the center, and trimmed with beading and spiral ribbon around the entire perimeter.  Turned feet finish the effect.
