19th Century French Napoleon III Period Marble Top End Table ~ Gueridon is an example of the revival of the Empire style first appearing during the reign of Napoleon Bonaparte, then again when his nephew assumed power during the middle of the 1800s.  Hand-crafted from exotic imported mahogany, prized the world over for its rich coloration and fine grain, the table has also been fitted with gilt bronze collars and base plates on the three columns, and topped with dark charcoal gray marble for an opulent understated elegance.  The marble is a highly prized Belgian stone that creates a color neutral, very forgiving surface perfect for daily use and special occasions.
