19th Century Renaissance Revival 9-Sided End Table

19th Century Renaissance Revival 9-Sided End Table was fashioned from solid oak, and features carving on the top with a repeating scroll design.  Support is provided by four slightly splayed spooled legs, connected below with a finely turned "X" stretcher centered with a turned finial.  Imagine the geometry required to produce the nine sided top, including the aforementioned carved bordering.  Only the maker would be able to reveal why such a top was created ~ perhaps there is some significance to the owner of the table in the number nine?  At any rate, it will certainly make a wonderful table and conversation piece for the new lucky owner!
