An imaginative English antique table whose unusual nine sided top gives the piece a distinctive presence from every angle. The richly toned oak surface is framed by a carved foliate border, lending depth and character to the geometric form.
Slender splayed supports rise above finely turned spool legs, a familiar detail in English furniture drawn from earlier Jacobean traditions. A triangular lower shelf follows the structure of the base, while the scalloped apron adds another carefully worked decorative element.
