An elegant French Louis XVI style guéridon crafted from solid walnut, this diminutive round table has an exceptional amount of decorative detail for its scale. The apron is deeply carved with grapevines, leaves and clusters of grapes, bringing a naturalistic element to the restrained Neoclassical form.
Four tall fluted legs support the circular top and are joined below by an X form stretcher centered with a beautifully carved rosette. The combination of fluting, grapevine carving and the distinctive stretcher gives the table refinement from every angle, while its diminutive scale makes it particularly desirable as an occasional table, drinks table or beside a favorite chair.
Richly carved yet light in appearance, this antique French walnut table offers considerable elegance and charm in a wonderfully versatile form.
