19th Century French Louis XVI Walnut Armoire was hand-crafted during the waning years of the Napoleon III Period from exceptional French walnut, and features a definitive Neoclassical Revival design!  The boldly molded, arched bonnet is fluted on the face and fitted with a full relief, hand-carved heraldic crest festooned with ribbon and laurel sprays.  An egg motif appears at the center of the crest, with subtle intaglio carvings of olive branches on the flanks.  The arch cascades down to the corners topped with turned finials which appear over the fluted pilasters that form the cornerposts.  The pilasters also provide a framework for the full length original hand-beveled mirror that covers the entirety of the door providing a lovely reflection of your entire room.  The door is fitted with a cast bronze key guard, and opens to reveal capacious storage perfectly organized with adjustable shelves, and an interior drawer.  Below the door appears to be a finely fluted and adorned apron but is in fact a full width drawer perfect for additional storage, supported by turned legs.  Even the sides are enhanced with cross-matched veneer panels for an excellent visual presence from any angle!
